I’m definitely not the best mom. By no means should I win some #1 Mom award. There are so many things I could do to improve IN ALL ASPECTS of my life. Being a mom is one of the jobs I enjoy and love the most. I want to get better at being a mom to my two sweet babies. It’s not like I ever get a re-do on raising them.
I’m going to start by having a dirtier house!!! Haha!
I admit, sometimes I get a little crazy about keeping the house in order. When I read the sayings I posted here, I felt a little relief. I can let the house work wait! I need to get over the obsession of cleaning my house. (Not saying you could eat off my floors or anything! ha!). Having happy kids is more important than having an immaculate house.
There are things I could neglect for a little bit in order to have more time with my babes. I need to stop being so busy vacuuming or doing THE NEVER ENDING LAUNDRY and just sit down and watch a movie with them, put a puzzle together or read a book.
Good moms have dust bunnies, mix-matched socks and a few dishes in the sink. Good moms allow their kids to play, laugh, giggle and sometimes scream. We should play with our kids– make mud pies or skip through the sprinkler. Make a fort with all the sheets you own or make a picnic in the middle of the living room.
Good moms LOVE their children and are aware that they not only need to hear it, but they also need to see it and feel it.
Starting NOW… My house work is definitely going to move down on my to-do list.
