Sometimes all you need is for someone to verbally say, “It’s going to be alright.” or “Everything will be ok.”
My dad was this person for me until ’98. He wasn’t always a super optimist, but he knew when I needed to be encouraged or confirmed in something. Everyone needs this person in their lives.
I find encouragement in so many people and circumstances now.
Right now, I’m a bit discouraged about my health. Who usually isn’t at the first of the year, right? It’s more than just weight though. I have not felt good for a while now and it’s something that kind of comes and goes. Unsure of what is going on and am planning on calling my regular doc tomorrow. I dread going to see him thanks to the weight issue, but really, my doc is one of those encouragers. He will give me words of wisdom and hope…that is why he’s my doc.
This morning my wonderful husband said the words above. He told me it was going to be ok and instantly I felt some better. It’s amazing how positivity can change any situation. I’m not saying I’m cured and feel like a million bucks, but I do feel better. I’m not in the mudhole that I was in earlier. I have a little more traction than I had before.
I’ve been praying and I know God is the best encourager. I take comfort in the fact that He will help me, as always. Please pray for me. I know I’ve asked for that a few times in the last few blogs, but I know prayer is power and it works! Much appreciation!
