WHY I do what I do…

IN THE WORLD TODAY
so many people do things so they can get recognized.
They like plaques on the wall and names in the newspaper.
Most people love getting their picture taken so they can clip it out of the paper and hang it on their frig or slap it in a scrapbook.

I’m not trying to say you shouldn’t be proud of doing great things.  You should get a pat on the back and a “WAY TO GO!”

—BUT!

If you are doing the things you do JUST FOR THE TROPHY (whatever form it may be in)…then you are doing it for the wrong reasons.

Why I do what I do…

Make your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do and will praise your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 CEVUK00)

When you do good deeds, don’t try to show off. If you do, you won’t get a reward from your Father in heaven. (Matthew 6:1 CEVUS06)
