E600 Creation

My friend Tammy showed me this awesome mirror she made out of all kinds of bling and pretty stuff. The handle was so unique–A BUTTER KNIFE! She even gave me a couple of knives to start my own. Wahooo!

Ya gotta have a butter knife, a mirror, a collection of beads, bling or whatever AND that awesome E6000 glue.

Tammy provided the knife and I fold an OLD mirror.  My collage collection ended up coming from all over my shop.  I stayed with more of a silver, pearl, glassy bling combo.  You’ll see.  Scroll through my pics…

So I have to work some on the front tomorrow, but I love the collage on the back. Yay for today’s creation!!!

Here are two other creations I put together recently :

I do love just making all kinds of things. If I see it and like it–then I wanna try and MAKE IT! My shop is full of all kinds of things I can create. I enjoy just going in there and putting stuff together. I also started doing some collage inside bottle caps tonight. Who knows what I’ll do with those. Recycling stuff is one of my faves.

What do I do with all this stuff you ask?

I hang a lot of it in my shop and decorate here and there. I have no idea what I’m going to do with some of it. I wish someone would sell it for me. A friend of mine suggested I do an ebay or etsy shop. I’m sure that would be fun and more than likely profitable, but school is about to start again and I’ll be super busy. I will still be able to create some, but there’s no time for a business. Maybe some year. HA!

I’m getting sooooooooooooooo excited about going back to work. Most people think that is INSANE, but if you are one of those that really loves your job, hopefully you can relate.

Ok, enough BABBLE!

So I spent a few hours in my shop today and made a ton of fun stuff.

I painted, drew, mod podged, hot-glued and duct taped.

I love creating things.

I’m going to add some photos of today’s products of ARTING…

These are DUCT TAPE creations.  Keychains, tin cans I covered and embellished, a magnetic photo frame I made out of the side of a cereal box, then some other frames I created from recycled stuff–cd case and a little plastic box that paper clips came in.

This is probably my favorite art to do…PAINTING on wood or whatever I can find.  I love to illustrate quotes and sayings to be hung.

This is a little new idea I did. I found something like it on Pinterest.  I actually just started putting things together.  It actually looks better in person than it does in this pic.  A cute way to keep an kind of small office supply.

This bag, I believe, is the CUTEST thing I made today.  I created it using a canvas block to add to the front (attaching it with fabric glue) and then adding felt and buttons with very high temp hot glue (didn’t burn myself this time!) and then the owl is done with acrylic paint with HUGE bling eyes to go along with the Socrates quote: WISDOM BEGINS IN WONDER.

My whole theme today was quite eclectic; therefore, not really having a theme at all.  I just gathered the stuff I had and started putting it together.  What a FUN DAY!!!
