No Negotiation

You cannot negotiate the truth.

Ok, so my opinion is not yours. I understand that, but if it’s true…

IT IS TRUE.

If I tell you I like the color green and you tell me that I don’t …whaaaat?

That is a non-negotiable point.

I LIKE GREEN!

In fact, it’s my favorite color.

Green makes me feel happy. It gives me a free feeling.

I know it is my opinion and perhaps not yours, but it’s still true.

It’s the same way I feel about God.

My God is real. He is alive and sent His Son to save me.  YES, this is my opinion, but it is TRUTH.

Try and argue, try and tell me it ain’t so. Ok.

Yes, that’s all I have to say.

OK.

I, of course, hope you change your mind and accept Jesus as your Savior. AGAIN I say,”Of course!” But my opinion of the FACT will not change due to your difference with me.

NO NEGOTIATION.

Song of the Day

My great friend who WON a luncheon/concert decided I was the blessed one to accompany her to this shindig today.  LOVE!  It was a great event which truly blessed me.  We got to listen to Brandon Heath sing, talk, answer questions and tell us more about his hygiene than we might of wanted to know.  It was entertaining, funny and a total hoot!

I’m going to share my fave song of the day below.  It truly spoke to me.  It made me think of the song— This World Is Not My Home, because it truly is, no matter what–going to be ALRIGHT.  This is not my home.  When I leave here, it’s alright (really better than alright), because you know where I will be.  Love this song!

SO PROUD

I’ve had encounters with two former students this week that have made my heart swell with pride.  They are both on an awesome path where they are constantly doing amazing things.  I’m so blessed to know so many former students like this.  Out of all the things that give me joy in teaching, seeing students succeed is my most favorite.

It’s like watching a work of art develop into this beautiful image or sculpture.  I’m not saying I created it.  We all know who created it, but I’d like to think I put a brush stroke or mold here or there to help push the creation in the right direction.

Students, of course, make their own decisions no matter what you teach them.  When they make those RIGHT decisions and set goals while keeping their eye on THE ONE who truly is in control, I almost become giddy!

Also, when they come back and give me even a tiny amount of credit in helping to *raise them right*, my heart is so full.

I’m SO PROUD.

Snow and SUNSHINE

This is my fave pic from today’s snow day home from school (2nd time in 8 days).  I love that the sun came out and devoured all of the white fluffy stuff. I’m so ready for warm weather, sunshine and blue TEXAS skies. Thankful for all no matter what, but God knows I have favorites.

Peace

20121106-201518.jpg

When peacemakers plant seeds of peace, they will harvest justice. (JAMES 3:18 CEV)

I love PEACE.
IT’S MY FAVORITE!
I pray for it always.
I desire it at all times.
It makes life worth living.
It’s only given by God through His son.

Amen.
